Donkey Care & Comfort Match Fund - Fall 2026

This fall from October 15 to December 31, 2026, the Refuge is pleased to announce that 4 donors have teamed up to offer a match of up to $80,000. Four longtime supporters have stepped up to assist the Donkey Refuge with our goal to raise $160,000 for the resident Donkeys & Mules at the Refuge. These donors include: Kamloops locals Fanny Monk & Jim Ferguson, along with the A.L. Gray Foundation will each match up to $15,000; private donors Carmina & Terry will match $30,000 and a private family foundation will provide the remaining $20,000 towards the matching fund total.

The Refuge currently has over 100 donkeys & mules in our care, and we are so grateful for all the support to help us continue our mission to provide a safe and healthy refuge for Donkeys & Mules in need.

With your kind support we can continue to provide a comfortable, safe, and healthy environment for all our long-ear friends. Your donations support the daily operations & care of the Donkeys here at the Refuge including daily cleaning of all paddocks & barns, daily medical care for Senior & high needs Donkeys, hay, feed, supplements, soft shavings & straw bedding, and many other small items that are required for daily care of our herds.
